The toddlers are always obsessed with sitting in the dirt/leaves by the end and WILL NOT BE STOPPED. 👏
But don’t worry Mom, that’s why I get all the good ones right when we start (or are the good ones them playing in that dirt?!).

“It’s adoption day! It’s adoption day!” Sweet little almost-five-year-old Durray was ecstatic as he ran around telling friends and family in the hallways of the courthouse.
Two-year-old Grace didn’t quite understand the day’s significance, but she cuddled into her favorite adults as they waited to meet the judge—the kindest one I’ve met.
As he read his lines and made their family official in the eyes of the court, he smiled and celebrated this life altering milestone they had stepped into.
Friends and family gathered to watch and followed them outside to give celebratory hugs before they went off to a nearby restaurant to share a joyous meal.
These precious little ones needed a home with parents to care for them and love them unconditionally, and Janine and Shawn stepped in to be that and so much more.
This was the first adoption I’ve had the honor of photographing, and it’s safe to say I’m eager to do more. What a special day to be a part of.
