Stacie + Michael’s Tropical Wedding at The Grand Tradition
Stacy and Michael were married at The Grand Tradition in Fallbrook, CA last Sunday and I think the best way I could describe it all is sweet and down-to-earth! As I see those adjectives written out now it also perfectly describes Stacie. She has such a kind heart and is also so real, fun, and joyful to be around! The two met while playing soccer. Michael and his mom both play and Stacie’s friend from college invited her out one time, and their Michael was. He spotted Stacie and added her on Facebook. From there they stayed in touch and eventually went on their first date, which was a memorable one! As soon as Stacie arrived Michael locked his keys in his car, so they sat and waited for AAA to come to their rescue and the whole fiasco that could have easily been awkward for them both turned into the cutest story and eventually marriage!
This was my first wedding of 2018, and I have a special place in my heart for January couples. I get to share the same wedding anniversary month with them! Justin and I had a rainy wedding day but these two had the nicest weather I’ve seen in a long time! There were sunny skies with the perfect little bit of cloud coverage and it was comfortably warm! Their venue was covered from inch to inch with perfectly landscaped tropical greens that shaded all of the different areas they had designated to celebrate with their guests. Stacie and Michael arrived to the guest suites nice and early to get ready on site and it was such a smooth day!
I love personal touches, and this sixpence was one of my favorites of their day! Stacie’s grandmother wore this exact same Irish coin in her shoe for good luck on her own wedding day and has since passed it down to other women in the family to do the same. Stacie carried on the tradition and wore it in her shoes as well, so it was really important to her that we got a photo to capture that. I love that she told me all about this prior to the wedding day, so that when I arrived I could immediately ask for it when I took her details for photos as she finished up hair and makeup!
While the ladies got dressed, the guys were next door getting their finishing touches on and looking sharp! Michael and his groomsmen wore deep navy suits from Friar Tux and his ring bearer Wyatt showed up looking so dapper in his own outfit with a top hat!
We wrapped up all of their portraits in time for them to have some time to relax and toast before the ceremony began. Then, the moment we all had been waiting for came before we knew it! They had such a beautiful ceremony surrounded by all of their favorite people.
Stacie and Michael took a moment to hand roses to each of their moms during the ceremony, a symbol of thanks for all they did to support them and help raise them to be the people they are today.
My favorite part of the day….
After we wrapped up photos they entered the reception tent with such a loud cheer from everyone they loved and danced the night away.
Everyone seemed to have such a good time together and the dance floor was always popping! During the last song I was capturing Stacie and Michael dance with the remaining guests surrounding them, and that’s when my favorite moment of their day happened. They leaned in really close and looked at each other. Michael got really close to Stacie, and with big eyes I could ever so subtly make out him say to her, “We’re married,” with an expression on awe. It was so sweet and reminded me how much I love marriage and seeing the joy it brings to people. These moments are always so special and fulfilling, and I deeply mean it every time I say, “I love what I do!”
Thanks to the fabulous vendor team for making it all possible!
