Scripps Pier Engagement Session – Priscilla + Alex
Priscilla has such an infectious joy that has made working with her so fun! I was initially introduced to her and Alex through their wedding planner Molly who is the lead planner and owner of Tres Chic Affairs. Priscilla and I quickly connected over our mutual love for travel. She and Alex love exploring new places together, whether it’s a trip to snorkel in the Caribbean waters or just a night on the town to try a new restaurant with a high-rise view of the city. We were going back and forth on ideas for their engagement session and even considered shooting somewhere with an amazing view of the skyline, but they eventually decided their hearts were set on the beach! They chose Scripps Pier for their engagement session, the spot that Alex often comes to surf at. I love incorporating sentimental elements to make things personal!
Priscilla and Alex showed up wearing the perfect color combo for the natural tones of the setting. The whites and blues went with the beach so well, and that long chiffon dress from Lulus had me swooning. Just see for yourself!
Priscilla had her makeup done by one of my new favorites, Erin of Unveiled Bridal Beauty, who I originally met through their planner Molly on a Ballet Wedding Inspiration shoot we did at Callaway Winery. I was thrilled to see how happy Priscilla was with the look Erin gave her and to find out that I get to work with her again for their wedding! I also get to photograph Carla Kayes‘ insane floral talent, and I can’t wait to arrive and see who else is a part of the rockstar vendor team that Molly is helping Priscilla and Alex form. It’s going to be such a fun day this September for their Temecula vineyard wedding at Mount Palomar Winery. I’m so looking forward to meeting all of their loved ones and documenting their big day!
