Our #TuesdaysTogether Holiday Bonfire at Two Sisters Farms
Have you heard of Rising Tide Society’s #TuesdaysTogether city meet-ups yet? Well, if you’re a creative, this is for you!
Rising Tide Society was founded Natalie Franke and Krista Jones, two wedding photographers on the east coast, with a vision to make waves in this industry by building others up, rather than competing against one another. The vision would come to life by launching meet-ups in different cities where creative entrepreneurs would get together and build community over coffee in their local areas. They launched in June with the hope to have just five cities by the end of summer. What they found instead was a community that went international overnight with nearly 200 cities! Now we’re ending off the year with about 250 and counting!
When I saw that Rising Tide Society was looking for applicants to bring these communities to cities all over the world, I jumped on the opportunity to get this culture in our hometown of Temecula! I was so nervous when I heard they accepted me as a city leader. What if no one came?!
What I found instead, was a group of wonderful people just like me who shared the same vision for our valley. We all just want to make waves in our hometown, bring more of a light to a competitive industry, and touch lives more than just use our businesses to pay the bills. Each of us who attend Tuesday’s Together in Temecula come, because we strive for community and we love to spread positivity in our city. And that’s why I love it so much!
Not only have I been able to strengthen relationships through these get-togethers, I’ve made new friends! Jenny and Alisa of Two Sisters Farms are a perfect example of new friends that have come out of this great group!
We usually get together at local restaurants and chat business while meeting new creatives, but for December we wanted to do something a little different. In the theme of “Rest and Reset” we decided to gather for a laid-back holiday potluck. I had such low expectations for this one, but Two Sisters Farms jumped in and blessed us all with their offer to host at the beautiful farm!
We started getting excited about roasting s’mores around the bonfire, laying out cute blankets, and bringing in a bit of holiday spirit with touches of decor. We were blessed by Jenn of Rustic Urban Events, who donated her beautiful espresso wood farm tables and benches. Even while she was away traveling Europe, she still had a heart to give to the cause of #CommunityOverCompetition, and sent her crew to deliver the tables for us! We went to Carla Kayes Floral Design asking for a very simple pine arrangement with touches of red berries, and what she delivered was far more than we could have expected! She pulled in white peonies, coral garden roses, burgundy dahlias, and cute little red rose hips for the perfect holiday touch. She even went out of her way to add in small arrangements for the high-top tables, which we accented with pinecones and candles. Jenny and Alisa of Two Sisters Farms were such amazing hosts. They helped so much with pulling together a design vision, and the three of us really had fun collaborating on the different elements to incorporate.
…And how cute is this warm cozy blanket laid out on the bench to add to our winter vibe?!
These florals! Carla you never cease to amaze!
This little cutie was the hit of the night! She frolicked around the farm and all of the girls there wanted to take her home.
I love the drink station Jenny and Alisa set up and designed for us! Keurig included!! It was a hit all night with hot cocoa, coffee, and hot apple cider!
Copper mugs!!! Heart eyes for days…
I love all of the pretty twinkle lights strung throughout the farm. It makes the evenings so much more beautiful there!
Our little s’mores station for the fire later on!
I loved this cheese platter that Jenny and Alisa whipped up! It tasted as good as it looked!
And I ate way too many of these brownies!
Nighttime fell, and we all gathered around the fire for good conversations and s’mores. It was the perfect ending to the night!
The event was such a breath of fresh air. In contrast with many industry events that happen amongst the creative world, we all felt at home. Even with new friends coming for the first time, the welcoming spirit of the group made it feel so comfortable and really set the tone for a relaxing night to end a busy season. We couldn’t be more thankful for Natalie and Krista, founders of Rising Tide Society, for making this all possible and touching our city with such positivity.
