Blog Series Announcement – My Bridal Experience

wedding-planning-tips_0013

I am so excited to announce that I will be doing a 12-week blog series all about my experience as a bride from planning my wedding to the actual wedding day and how it impacted my perception as a wedding photographer! A lot of people have asked me since my wedding why I haven’t really posted many photos of our special day, and the reason is that I wanted to take some time to put together a series about the whole experience before I shared all of the images… so here it is!

Below you can see what I’ll talk about each Wednesday:

Week 1: How I Asked My Bridesmaids
Week 2: The Two Most Important Words of Wedding Planning
Week 3: Finding A Wedding Venue
Week 4: Choosing My Vendors
Week 5: I Thought Planning My Engagement Session Would Be Easy!
Week 6: 8 Little Wedding To-Do’s That Weren’t So Little (…for me)
Week 7: Effective Communication Changes Everything
Week 8: How I Set Up My Wedding Photos For Success
Week 9: Our Wedding Day Part 1 – Getting Ready With My Ladies
Week 10: Our Wedding Day Part 2 – The Ceremony
Week 11: Our Wedding Day Part 3 – The Reception
Week 12: How Being A Bride Impacted My Career

I welcome any comments or questions, and I look forward to giving any advice to future brides who are in the process of planning! I’ve always really enjoyed planning, but my very own wedding experience ignited my passion to help other brides with their planning process as well. My goal in this series is both to share a bit more of my personal life and also to help other brides-to-be.

In the meantime, if you haven’t already seen our proposal story that was featured on How He Asked, you can check it out here!

Want to hear about something not listed in the series? Comment below, and I just might find a way to incorporate it into a post, or I can answer directly here! Special thanks to Rachel Jay of France Photographers for capturing these photos for us, to my makeup artist Raeleen Babbel and hairstylist Jessie Kenney for making me feel beautiful, my dress designer Jennifer Sitchler of Eden Couture for giving me my dream dress, Friar Tux for dressing my groom and Erin Heck for making his hair and beard look so dapper! Especially thankful to Carla Kayes Floral Design who is the most amazing florist and has become a true friend. So many more vendors to thank – you’ll have to stick around to see their work so I can talk about them all!

Be sure to catch the first post next Wednesday to see how I asked my bridesmaids (and flower girl!) to be a part of our special day! Can’t wait to share more.

Xx,
Jenna
