New Intern Welcome! Meet Alanna & Emi

About a month ago I blogged about my quest to seek out a new intern for my studio. Today I’m so excited to announce that I not only have one new intern, but two amazing ladies who have joined my team for the next six months!

Meet Alanna and Emi. Below you can read all about them and what their personal goals and aspirations are for their future careers in photography

“My dream for photography is to mainly shoot maternity, births and newborns. The love that is shown in a growing family’s life is undeniable. It’s a time that not only shows love but also gentleness and even strength.  I can’t wait to capture those precious moments for people.

Once I heard that Jenna was offering an opportunity to intern I was so excited, I had to apply. I can’t wait to expand my knowledge not only in photography but in every aspect of becoming a photographer. I’ve taught myself the basics of photography but having the chance to learn from Jenna will be amazing.”

“I’m so blessed to have this opportunity to improve my photography skills and watch how Jenna interacts with her clients to make them feel comfortable, special, and beautiful.  This will greatly help me in my family business as I photograph models for our clothing line.  In addition, I would like to continue with my mission of being ‘a voice to the voiceless’ and help spread awareness with my passions.  Capturing someone else’s story will help me further compassion, love, and assistance for them.  I’m so excited for the next 6 months!” -Emi

Today we also had a fun little adventure out shooting with our cameras. We spent some time learning how to set up shots, starting by finding good light (at 12:00 noon!), then choosing a good backdrop, choosing our settings, and finally posing. It was fun to walk around with the two of them and have them trade off as models as well as see them grow as photographers! Here’s a couple behind the scenes photos of our afternoon.
